MD GFOA invites you to attend our first quarterly conference of 2025! Don't miss important updates on the new presidential administration, ongoing activities from the State of Maryland, and more.
The Winter Conference will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport in Linthicum, MD. Check-in begins at 8:00 AM and the meeting adjourns at 4:30 PM. See below for our ticket prices and tentative agenda.
Standard Registration closed on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Registrations after that date will incur a $50 late fee, including any onsite registrations.

This session will cover the second year of Governor Moore’s Administration and what the 2025 Maryland General Assembly holds for government finance officers.

The landmark Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) creates significant opportunities for state and local governments to tap into refundable federal tax credits for their green energy investments. The full spectrum of renewable energy technologies is incentivized under the IRA, including electric vehicles, solar projects, and geothermal HVAC, to name a few. This session will cover what credits are available under the IRA, how applicable credits are calculated, and how state and local governments can claim their credits with the IRS.
