The April meeting of our tax affinity group is planned for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 and is to be held virtual via zoom.

1:00 pm Topic:  Auction Options for Municipal Bonds and Notes

The presentation will focus on the two predominant auction formats for competitively sold municipal debt: open and closed auctions. We will review auction theory and the advantages of open auctions to issuers. We will examine replays of several open debt auctions conducted for Maryland and Mid-Atlantic issuers.

2:00 pm Topic: Maryland Government Lease Financing Overview

This session will provide a municipal capital leasing overview. The presentation will introduce MDGFOA members to Government Equipment Leasing including Energy Services projects, available products and provide an overview on advantages with municipal capital leasing.
